Fall events in Kitchener & Cambridge
Even though Oktoberfest is well known in Southern Ontario, a celebration of Bavarian and beer-based tradition with its 19 festival halls and over 40 family and cultural events, there is still plenty of other exciting fall activities and events in the tri-cities.
For example, Kitchener Market’s Harvest Festival brings together local farmers, food and chefs in a celebration of the fall harvest. Experience cooking classes, market tours, workshops and tastings.
Every fall the surrounding area is host to a large number of fall fairs. The Cambridge fall fair has been running over for over 170 years. Their continuing goal is to bring Cambridge the best entertainment, food, crafts, music and family fun.
A fairly new event, the International Festival at River Side park in Cambridge aims to provide an opportunity to share elements of local cultural backgrounds and learn more about the culture of others.
If you are a film buff, the Grand River Film Festival in Kitchener showcases the products of the growing number of people who are studying and learning the art and craft of film-making. Their idea is to bring audiences together in a friendly environment to share and grow their enthusiasm for films.
